Consultation - your opportunity to tell us about your family and your child, and to learn what GSG can offer your family. Our opportunity to develop an understanding of your family’s needs, interests, and priorities. We will give you a better understanding of what select independent schools can offer your child in the classroom, on the field and beyond. We will clarify the admission process and prepare a list of the independent boarding and day schools that are most appropriate for your needs.

Assessment - GSG will do a detailed assessment of your child’s athletic and academic strengths. We are unique in our offer to come and to watch your child play, at home, on his/her, turf, with his/her teammates and coach. Through on- site personal observations, discussions with club and school coaches, and a review of athletic accomplishments, we will assess your child’s current level of play and his/her potential to play at the next varsity or club level. We will provide you with a clear and candid assessment of your child’s strengths and skills in his/ her chosen sports.

On the academic side, GSG will review transcripts, learning style reports, coursework and curriculum, standardized test reports, and any other information that you believe is important to your child’s learning style and academic achievement. We will also look at your child’s interests, extracurricular activities and achievements. Through this process we will better understand the type of academic setting that will enhance your child’s learning style and will provide the best opportunity for your student-athlete to thrive.
